Planks and Specks – Week #4

Two Planks and 3 Nails – Easter 2021

Mark 16:1-6

When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus’ body.  Mark 16:1

The only way to deal with doubt is to get it out

God’s love does not depend on our performance

Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb 3 and they asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?”  Mark 16:2-3

Too much reflecting can lead to regret

When we’re obsessed with obstacles, we often lose sight of the opportunities that God has for us

Jesus proves to us that obstacles can actually become opportunities

But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. Mark 16:4

I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? 2 My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! Psalm 121:1-2

As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.  6 “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. Mark 16:5-6

Jesus has never abandoned anything except an empty grave
