Flawed Week #2
The Great Healer
Luke 5:12-15

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  Hebrews 13:8

Those who suffer from a serious skin disease must tear their clothing and leave their hair uncombed. They must cover their mouth and call out, ‘Unclean! Unclean!’ 46 As long as the serious disease lasts, they will be ceremonially unclean. They must live in isolation in their place outside the camp. Leviticus 13:45-46

Three Types of Death

1. Physical Death

2. Emotional Death

We were not created to do life alone

3. Spiritual Death

In one of the villages, Jesus met a man with an advanced case of leprosy. When the man saw Jesus, he bowed with his face to the ground, begging to be healed. “Lord,” he said, “if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean.” 13 Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!” And instantly the leprosy disappeared. Luke 5:12-13

1. Jesus can heal instantly

2. Jesus might heal gradually

Sometimes Jesus doesn’t heal us immediately, but gradually, because He wants us to stay connected through the process

3. Jesus might not heal at all

Then Jesus instructed him not to tell anyone what had happened. He said, “Go to the priest and let him examine you. Take along the offering required in the law of Moses for those who have been healed of leprosy. This will be a public testimony that you have been cleansed.” Luke 5:14-15

… By His wounds you are healed. I Peter 2:24

It’s not by our works, but by His wounds
