All Aboard for a Move of God

Mark 4:35-41

  • It’s a tragedy if we move as a church but Jesus isn’t moving in our lives individually

As evening came, Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s cross to the other side of the lake.” Mark 4:35

  • Spiritual activity doesn’t always relate to intimacy

The apostles said to the Lord, “Show us how to increase our faith.” Luke 17:5

When James and John saw this, they said to Jesus, “Lord, should we call down fire from heaven to burn them up?” Luke 9:54 When they saw him, they worshiped him—but some of them doubted! Matthew 28:17

  • You are not less than anything or anybody

  • Jesus will always tell us our next step. However, He won’t tell us two or three or four steps down the road, because if He did, we might not do it.

So they took Jesus in the boat and started out, leaving the crowds behind (although other boats followed). 37 But soon a fierce storm came up. High waves were breaking into the boat, and it began to fill with water. Mark 4:36-37

  • Jesus will allow us to go through the storm to teach us something, to make us stronger, or so we can see Him more clearly

  • If you’re following Jesus, the enemy is going to try to send a storm to shut you down

Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?” 39 When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm. 40 Then he asked them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?” 41 The disciples were absolutely terrified. “Who is this man?” they asked each other. “Even the wind and waves obey him!” Mark 4:38-41

  • The area that I need for Jesus to move the most in my life is… ____________________
