Thank you so much for participating in our Trunk ‘r Treat event! This is one of our biggest outreach events and we anticipate about 1,000 people to pass through! Have fun with your trunk!! We will have judges pick 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners as well as a “Crowd Favorite” award.

The event runs from 2:00-4:30 at the Eastside Shelter House at Swan Lake.
Set up begins at Noon and we ask that you are completely set up by 1:30.
Please do not break down before the event is over

Candy: We have had a lot of candy donated, but we still ask that you bring candy for 400-500 kids (we expect 700+ kids)
*We will have volunteers sharing candy with trunks throughout the event, but if you run out, you can reply to the text sent to you about Trunk ‘r Treat (712-217-2500). Just type “candy to trunk #[your trunk number]”

Cooler: Looks like the forecast is in the mid 60’s right now. It’s not a bad idea to have a cooler to store candy in just in case you don’t get a spot in the shade

Lawn Chair: Always great to have a spot to sit

Other supplies like tape, staplers, safety pins, pony clamps…The wind is supposed to die down a bit but sometimes things need a bit of encouragement to stay where you want them.

It’s important that we leave the Shelter House and surrounding area clean. Be sure to pick up the area around your vehicle. Take trash with you if at all possible (the dumpster gets quite full). If you are able to hang around after the event, we would REALLY appreciate some help with clean up.
