Trunk 'r Treat 2023 

  • The event is Saturday Oct 28th and runs from 2:00-4:30 at the Eastside Shelter House at Swan Lake.
  • Set up begins at 12:00 PM and we ask that you are completely set up by 1:30.  
  • Judging will begin at 1:45
  • You will be given a Trunk Number to place on your trunk, so guests can vote on a "crowd favorite"
  • Please do not break down before the event is over

Supplies:

  • Candy: We have had candy donated but we still ask that you bring candy for at least 500 kids (we expect 700+ kids)
  • Weather: It's going to be COLD! This is a RAIN or SHINE event! Cooler temps typically marginally affect our attendance. Dress WARM Make sure you bring gloves, hats, warm coat, hand warmers, blankets...  
  • Lawn Chair: Always great to have a spot to sit
  • Other supplies like tape, staplers, safety pins, pony clamps, magnets. Looks like it's going to be a tad windy on Saturday. Think about ways to weigh your trunk display. Sometimes things need a bit of encouragement to stay where you want them.

If your vehicle has a hands free tailgate (like the one where you sweep your leg to shut your trunk) Figure out how to disable that feature...trunk decorations can set that off and cause your hatch to close.

Clean up
It’s important that we leave the Shelter House and surrounding area clean. Be sure to pick up the area around your vehicle. Take trash with you if at all possible (the dumpster gets quite full). Please, please, PLEASE consider hanging around and helping with clean up! We can knock this out quick if everyone pitches in!
