The Fork in the Road
The Fork in the Road
Matthew 7:13 “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. 14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it. (NLT)
#1 Two Gates Luke 13:22, Acts 4:12, John 3:3
The Narrow Gate and The Wide Gate
- The path you choose determines whether or not you find the way
#2 Two Roads
The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.(John 10:10 NLT).
Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. (Romans 1:21 NLT)
The Difficult Road and The Broad Road
- Jesus’ rules are not to kill our fun and joy but rather to help us to live a good, stable, productive, and a fruitful life
#3 Two Crowds
“For Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13 NLT)
The Few and The Many
- Many come to the door and look in, but never go in because they’re satisfied with sitting on the porch.
- If we’re not careful we can look over at the many and be convinced we are the one that has to change.
#4 The Destination
Revelation 20:11 And I saw a great white throne and the one sitting on it. The earth and sky fled from his presence, but they found no place to hide. 12 I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave[b] gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds. 14 Then death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This lake of fire is the second death. 15 And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire. (NLT)
Heaven and Hell
- Don’t be lured into thinking that there is no afterlife
- Your choices, your options, your alternatives, and your opportunities all lead to God!
Luke 19:10-For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost. (NLT)
