Rescued from Wrath
Ephesians 2:1-7 (NASB 1995)

1 And you were dead in your trespasses and sins 2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. 3 Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. -Ephesians 2:1-3

1. From God

2. By God

4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved) 6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, -Ephesians 2:4-6

8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. -Romans 5:8

9 Much more then, having been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. -Romans 5:9

10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. -Romans 5:10

3. For God

7 so that the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. -Ephesians 2:7

9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; -1 Peter 2:9

8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. -Ephesians 2:8-10
