Living A Legacy

Living a Legacy Through Influence
Proverbs 13:20

20. Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble.

POINT 1 – Wisdom Requires Relationships

2 Timothy 1:5:
5. I remember your genuine faith, for you share the faith that first filled your grandmother Lois and your mother, Eunice. And I know that same faith continues strong in you.

Faith is inherited, not invented

Your circle defines your ceiling

Alone is risky. Idleness + Isolation = Destruction.

Philippians 2:22:
22. But you know how Timothy has proved himself. Like a son with his father, he has served with me in preaching the Good News.

Core Idea: Wisdom is not a sprint—it’s a slow burn of consistency, encouragement, and real-life modeling.

Point 2 – Multiplying Influence Through Faithful Investment

2 Timothy 2:2
2. You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.

Multiplication is about action, not age.

Influence is contagious

Your faithfulness today becomes someone else’s breakthrough tomorrow

1 Timothy 4:12, Paul encouraged him:
12. Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.

Core Idea: You can’t grow God’s way alone. Wisdom multiplies when you walk with the right people.

Point 3 – Leaving a Spiritual Mark

Legacy is a marathon, not a selfie.

2 Timothy 4:7–8:
7. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
8. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day…”

2 Timothy 2:2
2. You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.

Proverbs 13:20
20. Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble.

You don’t just leave memories—you leave momentum.

Core Idea: Legacy isn’t just about influence today—it’s about shaping faith that will echo into tomorrow.
