Who’s Your Leader?

Don’t Miss This – Week 3 – 1/17/21

WHO’S YOUR LEADER?

After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. 15 “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” -Mark 1:14-15 NIV

When we Repent Jesus invites us to change our lives in order to change our Direction.

If you want to change your mind

If you want to change your direction

If you want to change your life

You’ll have to change your king

If you want something to change this year, you need to be prepared to change your leader.

Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. -Romans 8:5 NIV

The thing that leads you determines where you go.

So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. 17 The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. -Galatians 5 16-17

Who or what leads you directs what you do

My biggest struggle is__________________________?

23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
-1 Thessalonians 5:23 NIV

15 Challenge: Prayer and fasting – we are going to feed the spirit through prayer and starve the body and soul through fasting.

22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. -Galatians 5:22-23a NLT
